The upcoming final arc of Golden Kamuy anime revealed a new trailer on Monday, featuring the opening song “Kogane no Kanata” by Awich × ALI, and a January 5 premiere date.
Brain’s Base is animating the final arc of Golden Kamuy with Shizutaka Sugahara as director. Noboru Takagi is handling the series composition, Takumi Yamakawa is doing the character designs, and Kenichiro Suehiro is composing the music.
Golden Kamuy is a manga written and illustrated by Satoru Noda, serialized in Weekly Young Jump from 2014 to 2022, The series earned critical acclaim, winning the 2016 Manga Taisho award and the 22nd Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2018.
The manga was adapted into an anime starting in 2018, with Geno Studio handling the first three seasons. Studio Brain’s Base took over for Season 4, which aired from late 2022 into mid-2023. The fifth and final season was announced immediately after Season 4 concluded.
A live-action film premiered in January 2024, followed by a TV drama, Golden Kamuy: The Battle for the Hokkaido Tattooed Prisoners Arc, which aired in late 2024. A sequel live-action movie has also been announced.
