Good Smile Company Announces Zero Two L Figure

Welcome the summer heat with this steamy Good Smile Company Zero Two L figure, Featuring the character in a shiny version of her plug suit. Slightly larger than their scale models, the new L line promises the same impact as a scale figure but with more bang for your buck. With a pre-order price of USD 57.99, the figure is expected to ship in the first quarter of 2025. A must-have for all Darling in the Franxx fans, the beautifully crafted figure makes it a priority to highlight Zero Two’s assets.

In a post-apocalyptic future, humanity has been driven to the brink of extinction by Klaxosaurs. To try and grasp long-term survival, humans have retreated to giant mobile fortresses named Plantations. Their children are raised to pilot mechas to fight humanity’s enemies. When people say children are the future, this is what they mean. They’re the ones that are going to the front lines. So long as the adults are safe, there will be more kids to send (also #RenewableResources).

But just because you train your whole life for something, that doesn’t mean you’re good at it. And faced with this realization, the failed pilot Hiro buggers off to a lake to wallow. There he encounters a mysterious, naked girl with a fish in her mouth and horns. But before they can make a proper acquaintance, a Klaxosaur attack gets the girl’s attention, and to sortie, she goes. But to Hiro’s luck, her mecha is damaged, and her co-pilot is killed. All this happens close enough for him to jump into the cockpit and take up the fight with his newfound partner.

An A-1 Pictures, Trigger, CloverWorks original anime, Darling in the Franxx originally aired as part of the Winter 2018 season and is currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
