Hell's Paradise Stage Play Gets a Second Show; Key Visual And Trailer Released

The stage play of the dark fantasy anime Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku is getting a sequel show, as announced on their official website. The Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku stage play is an adaptation of Yuji Kaku’s manga of the same name. The second installment of the stage play is titled Butai Jigokuraku – Owari no Sho, or Stage Play Jigokuraku – The Last Chapter in English translation. The key visual has also been revealed, as well as the main cast.

Fans of the manga or the anime can watch the stage play adaptation from February 15 to 18, 2024, at Theater 1010 in Tokyo. For those who will miss the first performance, it will also be performed at Cool Japan Park TT Hall from February 23 to 25, 2024. Those planning to watch the Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku stage play can reserve their tickets in advance. Advance ticket reservations already began on November 23 and will continue until December 10.

Tsubasa Kizu, who played the protagonist Gabimaru in the first show, is set to come back to reprise his role. Cast also includes Ayana Shiramoto as Sagiri, Hiroki Sana as Aza Chobei, Rui Tabuchi as Touma, Yuuri Ohta as Yuzuriha, Taro Nakamura as Shion, Azusa Yoshihama as Nurugai, Naoya Gomoto as Gantestusai Tamiya, Yu Miyazaki as Fuchi, Kouji Kominani as Shugen, Gaku Matsuda as Jikka, Keito Sakurai as Shija, Rio Sawada and Aoba Koujo as Mei, and Yoshihide Sasaki and Riona Tatemichi as Tensen. The first show ran in Hulic Hall, Tokyo from February 16 to 26

In addition to the stage play, Kaku’s manga also got an anime adaptation by studio MAPPA. The anime premiered earlier this year. Netflix is streaming it and describes the plot as:
For a chance at a pardon, a ninja assassin joins other condemned criminals on a journey to a mysterious island to retrieve an elixir of immortality.
