Hiro Mashima Fairy Tail Author Draws A Scene From Nisio Isin Novel

The author of the hit manga series Fairy Tail and Eden’s Zero, Hiro Mashima, has drawn a scene from the latest novel by Nisio Isin titled Maho Shoujo Risuka. In case you don’t know who Nisio Isin is, he is known for the Monogatari Series, as well as Katanagatari.

Maho Shoujo Risuka will release its fourth and final volume on December 9, 2020. In fact, Hiro Mashima drew a scene from the first volume to commemorate the release of the final volume! Hiro previously worked with Nisio Isin before by illustrating one of the end cards for the anime adaptation of the Monogatari Series. Additionally, it was an illustration of the character Hitagi Senjougahara from Bakemonogatari Episode 5.

Additionally, Hiro also did another illustration for the 100th chapter of the Bakemonogatari manga adaptation by Oh! Great. The hin Honkaku Mahō Shōjo Risuka novel series first began its serialization in the literary magazine, Faust and in 2004, the first volume was published. However, after the release of the third volume, it went into a 13-years hiatus.

Also, a “Read Aloud” event for the series is still ongoing with different voice actors for every installment!

Hiro Mashima and Nisio Isin are both awesome, and this was also a very cool tribute!
