Another 2001, the sequel of the cult classic light novel Another, is getting an English release on March 22, 2022, by Yen Press. Kadokawa Shoten originally published the sequel, which came out in Japan on September 30, 2020.
The light novel will be available in both digital and hardcover editions. Hardcover, which will have 290 pages, will cost $25.00, while digital is priced at $9.99.
Yukito Ayatsuji, the author of the original series, wrote Another 2001 as well. Hiro Kiyohara is doing the illustrations, after also having worked on the original.
It has been three years since the calamity of 1998 that claimed the lives of many students in Yomiyama North Middle’s class 3-3. After being placed into the cursed class, Sou Hiratsuka will have to work alongside the class of 1998 survivor Mei Misaki in order to avert a new disaster. But as mysterious accidents and deaths pile up despite their countermeasures, the pair will be forced to reckon with Yomiyama North’s deepest mysteries…

Another is a light novel by Yukito Ayatsuji that came out in 2009. Young Ace magazine serialized a manga adaptation from April 3, 2010, to December 3, 2011. A manga prologue, titled Another 0, also came out in 2011. Another Episode S / 0 light novel featured a side-story about Mei and came out in 2013. Yen Press licensed the original novel in English, as well as the manga and the side-story. Hiro Kiyohara did the illustrations and art for all of these.
The series received an anime adaptation by P.A. WORKS (The Aquatope on White Sand) in 2012. The anime had 12 episodes, as well as an OVA. The Another franchise also has a live-action movie from 2012.
