I’m in Love With the Villainess Previews Episode 8

I’m in Love With the Villainess previewed episode 8 of the series on Friday. The official website of the series describes the next episode, which is set to premiere on November 20, as follows:
In the Kingdom of Bauer, powerful families became the royal family and nobility, and taxation was collected from the commoners to ensure the peace and tranquility of their lands. However, with the rise of magic, this balance has been shaken. The king who upholds the principle of meritocracy, has been advocating equality between nobles and commoners in the academy, but discrimination still exists, and disgruntled academy students have started a commoner’s movement to seek equality. Amidst the tension between the nobles and the commoners, a close servant of Yu injures a student of the academy, who is a commoner activist, with his magic.

The anime adaptation is based on the light novel by Inori. Studio Platinum Vision is animating the series with Hideaki Oba as director. Ayumu Hisao is writing the script, Yoko Sato is doing the character designs, and Noriyuki Asakura is composing the music. The main cast includes Yu Serizawa who voices Rae Taylor while Karin Nanami plays the role of Claire François. Additionally, the two perform the opening and ending theme songs.

Crunchyroll streams the anime and the synopsis of the overall plot is as follows:
The world turns upside down when a corporate drone wakes up as Rae Taylor, the heroine in her favorite otome game, Revolution. Rae is elated at the opportunity to court Claire François, the game’s villainess and the object of her affection. Armed with her knowledge of the game and events to come, Rae sets out to make Claire fall for her. But how will the villainess take Rae’s romantic advances?

I can talk about seiyuus for days. A connoisseur of cute girls doing cute things and fluffy romance stories always make me smile. I mostly watch slice-of-life and rom-coms with drama on the side.
