Pokemon Concierge released its first trailer on November 14, revealing the voice actor for the main character, Haru, the theme song, and the premiere date. The new trailer features Haru working in a resort for trainers and Pokemon. It showcases many varieties of Pokemon coming to the resort such as Psyduck, Pansage, Pansear, Panpour, Dragonite, Pikachu, and more. Karen Fukuhara will be voicing Haru in the English dub version while Non (Suzu Urano from In This Corner of The World) will be voicing Haru in the Japanese version of the series.
For the first time, the trailer also features the main theme song, “Have a Good Time,” sung by the legendary singer Mariya Takeuchi, who is known for her legacy in City Pop, a popular Japanese music genre in the 1980s.
Joining Karen Fukuhara as part of the English cast are Imani Hakim, Josh Keaton, and Lori Alan. Fairouz Ai (Jolyne Kuujou from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean), Eita Okuno, and Yoshiko Takemura will be joining Non as part of the cast for the Japanese dub.
Netflix has also released a new key visual for the series. This new visual shows Haru and her friends with five Pokemon: Pansage, Pansear, Panpour, Psyduck, and Mudkip. Pokemon Concierge will be streaming on Netflix worldwide on December 28 and is set to have 14 episodes with each episode running for 14 to 20 minutes each.
Pokemon Concierge is a new stop-motion series created by Pokemon and Netflix. It was first announced on February 27, 2023, during the Pokemon Day’s Pokemon Present. The series is directed by Iku Ogawa and is produced by dwarf studios. The series is written by Harumi Doki and the character design is illustrated by Tadahiro Uesugi. Pokemon Concierge follows a concierge in training named Haru. She works with her fellow staff members to attend to the needs of various Pokemon guests visiting the resort while she gradually discovers a new side of herself along the way.
The Pokemon franchise began in 1996 with Pokemon Red and Blue for Gameboy consoles. Since then, it has grown into a multimedia franchise that includes games, manga, TCG, and anime series and films. The franchise has 122 known games including the recent Pokemon games, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and two anime series including the recent anime series, Pokemon Horizons.
