The previously announced In Another World With My Smartphone Season 2 has received a new teaser visual, along with a Spring 2023 premiere. Studio J.C. Staff will be animating the sequel.

Yoshiaki Iwasaki is directing, while Deko Akao is in charge of the series composition. Chinatsu Kameyama is working on the character designs and is also listed as the chief animation supervisor. Hobby Japan has been serializing Patora Furihaya’s Isekai wa Sumatofon to Tomo ni (In Another World With My Smartphone) light novel series since 2015, and it currently has 26 volumes in circulation. A manga adaptation by Soto has been published on Comp Ace online since 2016, and as of now, it has 11 volumes available. J-Novel Club licensed the In Another World With My Smartphone light novel series in English and describes the plot as:
After a freak accident involving some lightning winds up zapping him dead, 15-year-old Mochizuki Touya wakes up to find himself face-to-face with God. “I am afraid to say that I have made a bit of a blunder…” laments the old coot. But all is not lost! God says that he can reincarnate Touya into a world of fantasy, and as a bonus, he gets to bring his smartphone along with!
