The Seiyuu Grandprix magazine revealed the front and back cover for the upcoming January 2023 issue on Friday. The main cast of the ongoing reboot of Urusei Yatsura: Sumire Uesaka, Kamiya Hiroshi, and Mamoru Miyano are all dressed up as their characters and are on the front cover while voice actress Yui Ogura is gracing the back cover. The issue mainly highlights a 20-page special feature on Urusei Yatsura coupled with interviews and gravure pictures from the cast. An interview regarding Yui Ogura’s 1st Single from Nippon Columbia will also have its own special section.
Seiyuu Grandprix January 2023 Issue will be available to purchase for 1,480 yen (around $11) on December 9, 2022. A special poster will be added as a bonus upon purchasing the magazine from certain retailers.
The upcoming magazine issue will also contain a behind-the-scenes exclusive close-up and interview of Yuuma Uchida’s live show at Nippon Budokan held last November. Voice actors Yoshino Nanjo, Megumi Hayashibara, Mamiko Noto, idol group 22/7, and highlights from the A&G All-Star 2022 event will be included as well. The magazine’s previous cover had voice actress Reina Ueda to commemorate the 10th anniversary of her career.
