Global apparel brand Uniqlo has announced a clothing collaboration with the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 anime movie, which will be released in the US on April 7. The collaboration follows the movie’s debut in the US and Canada theatrical release on March 18.
The clothing collaboration highlights some of the most impactful scenes in the movie. For instance, one of the designs depicts protagonist Yuta Okkotsu in a poignant scene with childhood friend Rika Orimoto and highlights a ring that he keeps as a memento of their relationship. In another design, Satoru Gojo is seen wearing a fresh white blindfold, a contrast to the black one he wears in the TV anime. Suguru Geto, the film’s antagonist, is also featured.
The shirts are priced at around US$19.90 each and will be available in Uniqlo’s physical stores across the US, as well as on their official site. This was not the first time the Jujutsu Kaisen franchise made a clothing collaboration with Uniqlo, as they have a previous collection released in Japan in June 2021.
As of this writing, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is ranked as the 22nd highest-grossing anime film of all time in Japan. It has been listed with gross revenue of 12.4 billion yen (~$107 million USD) in its domestic release. The franchise follows Yuta Okkotsu, a nervous high school student who enrolls in the mysterious Tokyo Jujutsu High School under the guidance of Satoru Gojo after being haunted by the curse of his childhood friend.
