KanColle: See You Again on Another Quiet Blue Sea (Season 2) postponed the broadcast of yet another episode: episode 7 will now be broadcast on February 12, following this week’s broadcast of the previously delayed sixth episode, due to production issues.
Delays are not uncommon for KanColle‘s second season. In November, they pushed the 4th episode from November 24 to December 15 due to production issues. Studio ENGI is animating the series, which is set to have a total of eight episodes. Kazuya Miura is directing it, with Kensuke Tanaka responsible for the series composition. Chika Nomi is listed as a character designer and chief animation director, while Kaori Ookoshi is in charge of the music. The Japanese title for the second season is Kan Colle: Itsuka Ano Umi de.
Kantai Collection (KanColle) is based on the free-to-play game of the same name, which was developed by Kadokawa Games and published by DMM.com in 2013. Studio Diomedéa animated the first season of the anime that aired from January to March 2015. The same studio worked on KanColle: The Movie, which premiered in November 2016.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and describes the plot as:
Set in a world where humanity has lost control of the oceans to the “deep sea fleet,” the only hope to counter this threat are the Kanmusu, a group of girls who possess the spirit of Japanese warships. The story revolves around Fubuki, a destroyer who comes to the Chinjufu base to train with other Kanmusu. Watch as their stories unfold!
