The Kantai Collection season 2 anime has released a new key visual, depicting the main characters of the series hiking up the mountain while overlooking a naval base. The previously-announced anime will air this November, and you can see the new visual below:
The anime, with the full name KanColle: Itsuka Ano Umi de (KanColle: Someday in that Sea), will be animated by studio ENGI and is listed for eight episodes. Kazuya Miura is directing it, with Kensuke Tanaka responsible for the series’ composition. Chika Nomi serves both as the character designer and chief animation director, while Kaori Ookoshi is in charge of the music.
Kantai Collection (KanColle) is based on the free-to-play game of the same name, which was developed by Kadokawa Games and published by DMM.com in 2013. Its first anime adaptation by studio Diomedia aired from January to March 2015. An anime film titled KanColle: The Movie was released in November 2016.

Set in a world where humanity has lost control of the oceans to the “deep sea fleet,” the only hope to counter this threat are the Kanmusu, a group of girls who possess the spirit of Japanese warships.
