Chisato Abe’s Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai (The Crow Does Not Choose the Lord) is getting an anime adaptation, slated to premiere in April 2024. Studio information is not available, but NHK will be producing and broadcasting the series. The teaser visual is now out:
Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai is the second installment of Abe’s Yatagarasu fantasy novel series. A manga adaptation by Natsumi Matsuzaki began serialization in 2020 in Kodansha’s Evening magazine, before being moved to Comic Days app in 2021.
The prequel, Karasu ni Hitoe wa Niawanai was also serialized in the manga format on the Comic Days platform from 2018 to 2020. Kodansha is publishing it in English, under the A Raven for All Seasons title, on its K-MANGA app, which describes the plot as:
