Spy x Family‘s 7th episode aired in Japan on May 21 at 11:00, and the anime’s official Twitter account introduced a new character Yuri Briar, who is voiced by Kensho Ono, right after the broadcast.
Yuri Briar is Yor Forger’s brother, and he is working for the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He made his debut in the post-credits scene of the episode and he will play an important role in the next, 8th episode that broadcasts on May 28 in Japan.
Kensho Ono, known as the voice of Giorno Giovanna in JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure Part 6, commented on his role, adding that he looks forward to meeting everyone next week:
This is Kensho Ono. I’m pleased to play Yuri Briar. I’ll do my utmost best to bring further fuss to the already troubled situation! Sis is love. I hope you keep enjoying the anime. Thank you.

Spy x Family is an ongoing anime show which started airing on April 9, 2022. It is based on Tatsuya Endo’s manga series of the same name, which is currently being serialized on Shueisha’s manga app Shonen Jump+. The spy and family-themed manga has begun its serialization on March 25, 2019, and sold over 18 million circulating copies with 9 volumes as of May 9, 2022.
