Kimetsu no Yaiba, aka Demon Slayer, is a popular Shonen manga series written and illustrated by Gotouge Koyoharu, serialized in Shueisha‘s manga magazine, Weekly Shonen Jump. The series is now listed on the website of Syueisha Mirai Bunko, which is also Shueisha‘s novel brand targeted at elementary and middle school students.
According to the website, the novel, Kimetsu no Yaiba Novelize ~Tanjirou to Nezuko, Unmei no Hajimari-hen~ (lit. Damon Slayer Novelized ~Tanjirou and Nezuko’s Fateful Beginning Arc), will be illustrated by the author and written by Matsuda Shuka, released on June 26, 2020 at 700 yen excluding tax. Matsuda Shuka has worked on some manga works such as Nanatsu no Taizai, aka Seven Deadly Sins, before.
The synopsis: In Taisho Era, there is a boy named Tanjirou making a living by selling charcoal. One day, a Demon kills off his family. His little sister, Nezuko, barely survives that, however, turns into a Demon. To turn her back into a human and revenge the Demon, he resolves himself to follow the path of a Demon Slayer…
