LiSA performed the opening theme song for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train TV anime,”Akeboshi” on The First Take with composer Yuki Kajiura. Kajiura wrote the lyrics and composed the music for the song. They are the first performers after the channel celebrated its 3rd anniversary on Tuesday. On the same day, LiSA released a new album titled “Lander”.
LiSA tweeted about the performance and a part of the post reads “We [LiSA and Yuki Kajiura] alone tried the song’s arrangement for TFT. Please watch over both of us as if forgot to breathe.“
The singer posted a music video for the song on her official YouTube channel on November 8, 2021, and the video surpassed 25 million views on the platform. LiSA also performed the theme song for the movie version of the Mugen Train arc. You can check it below:

LiSA is a well-known singer in the anime industry. Her song “Homura”, the opening theme song of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train movie, was a smash hit in 2020 and her music video for the song surpassed 270 million views on her YouTube channel as of November 2022. Her husband is the voice actor Tatsuhisa Suzuki.
Yuki Kajiura is a composer, known for her work on Sword Art Online, Demon Slayer, Kara no Kyokai, and Vanitas no Carte series. She has been active since early 90s and plays the piano.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a shonen manga series serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020. It ended with a total of 23 volumes, which surpassed 150 million circulating copies. The manga-inspired anime adaptations by ufotable and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train movie premiered in 2020 and broke the record of Japan’s highest-grossing film of all time. The anime’s Swordsmith Village Arc is currently in production.
