Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun (Season 2) revealed preview images and a synopsis for the upcoming episode 5. The new episode is titled “Concealment” and it will air on Wednesday, August 3. In last week’s episode, Reg met a mysterious Hollow who appears to know him very well. However, he does not remember his past, even though he gets some snippets. Meanwhile, Riko made a new friend, and Nanachi got to reunite with Mitty.
The official website describes the plot of the fifth episode as:
Nanachi learns from Majikaja that Mitty is with Belaf of the Three Wise Men. When Nanachi goes to Belaf’s space, they find Mitty there, even though Mitty is not supposed to be there. Nanachi is distraught, and Beruff asks her, “What did you come here for? Meanwhile, Reg gets lost on the way back to the village after leaving Faputa. He gets attacked but is then saved by Gaburoon…
Hideyuki Kurata is writing the script for the upcoming episode, which will be directed and storyboarded by Koji Furukawa. Rumi Abeshima and Hanako Mitsubachi are listed as animation directors.
Kinema Citrus is animating the sequel to the anime adaptation of Akihito Tsukushi’s manga. Theme songs for the season include “Katachi” by Azuna Ruko (opening) and “Endless Embrace” by Myth & Roid (ending). HIDIVE is streaming the entirety of the anime series.
