Mieruko-chan Episode 6: Miko "Saves" Hana

We were able to see Hana’s abilities in episode 6 of the anime Mieruko-chan, while the previous episode of the anime has shown us some of the uses of Miko’s ability.

Warning: This Section Might Contain Spoilers

Even though Miko is already used to seeing ghosts with grotesque appearances, seeing scarier ones than usual can still be frightening for her. Miko saw an unusually big and ugly ghost in this episode, and it affected her decisions on what she wanted to do. The next day, she met Hana and realized that the scary ghost she saw the other day is following her. Because of that, Miko changed their agenda of the day and did what she can to make the ghost leave Hana.

Hana and the big ghost

I honestly think the ghost is creepy because it’s following Hana whenever she goes. It also looks like a man that wants to lick her. This is also the first time I saw this kind of ghost in the show.

Hana’s Aura

The Godmother said in episode 3 of Mieruko-chan that there’s something on Hana that attracts ghosts. Here, we were able to see the use of Hana’s aura that captivates them. The ghosts come out whenever Hana is about to cross a certain place. The big ghost that is following her grabs some of the small ghosts on their way and throws them to Hana’s body. For some reason, they are being burned the moment they touch Hana’s body and the big ghost eats them.

Small ghost

My theory in Hana’s powers is that she emits an aura, which is nutritious to the ghosts. I also have a feeling that Hana’s aura is the reason why Miko keeps seeing ghosts every day.

Miko’s Move to Save Hana

Miko takes Hana to a certain shrine and they pray together. Of course, Miko planned to go there, hoping that the ghost would leave Hana in that place. When they finished praying, 3 bright ghosts appeared and fought the big ghosts. However, it seems that it is an unpleasant sight to Miko. For me, I really think that the ghost’ battle is too brutal and the bright ghosts also look grotesque.

Miko

I personally think that those bright ghosts are also bad because of the way they used to eliminate the creepy ghost. Well, it’s probably one of the mysteries that need to be solved soon in the future development of the story. If you are also curious about it, episode 7 will air on November 14, 2021, and you can watch it on Funimation.

Lastly, if Hana’s powers pique your interest in episode 6 of Mieruko-chan, you can vote for the anime on our weekly poll.

Synopsis

A normal girl was living a normal life until she wasn’t.

One day, she could see…everything. What’s a girl to do when hideous monsters appear no matter which way she turns?

And on top of that, nobody else can see them! Obviously, there’s only one thing that makes sense-ignore them.

Kinda hard to put theory into practice, though, when the ghosts know she’s watching…
