Mieruko-chan Episode 3: Prayer Beads Gone Wrong

Miko really tried her best in episode 3 of the anime Mieruko-chan. Following the events in the previous episode, Miko was set on buying prayer beads, hoping that it will prevent the ghosts from approaching her. However, unexpected things happen in life.

Warning: This Section Might Contain Spoilers.

Seeing ghosts everywhere at all times is not normal. Even if Miko is already used to seeing them, it doesn’t mean that she is not scared. Of course, there’s nothing she can do about her situation, so Miko just keeps moving forward and tries to live to the fullest. That said, some ghost appearances in front of her are really unexpected, and they still make her tremble.

Miko’s Prayer Beads

Miko bought four prayer beads while hanging out with Hana. This scene was quite funny because you’ll normally buy only one or two prayer beads. The scene also had me wondering about whether they would actually work. But, due to various circumstances, the prayer beads fell apart. They go to another shop to get more, but those also get destroyed. At that moment, the owner of the shop finally understood why Miko was buying prayer beads, so she gave her most powerful prayer beads for free. Unfortunately, it still didn’t work. This whole events makes you wonder about the ghost powers and how far they can actually go.

Shop owner giving the powerful prayer beads to Miko

It seems that the owner of the shop might have a significant role in the future development of the series since episode 3 of Mieruko-chan ends with her. Episode 4 will air on October 24, 2021, and you can watch it on Funimation. You can also vote for the anime in our weekly poll.

Synopsis

A normal girl was living a normal life-until she wasn’t.
One day, she could see…everything. What’s a girl to do when hideous monsters appear no matter which way she turns?
And on top of that, nobody else can see them!Obviously, there’s only one thing that makes sense-ignore them.
Kinda hard to put theory into practice, though, whenthe ghosts know she’s watching…
