Milet (stylized as milet) has released the music video for “Anytime, Anywhere,” the official ending theme song for the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime, which recently aired with a two-hour premiere. You can check out the music video below:
The music video was released hours ahead of the premiere of the anime’s fifth episode. QQQ directed the music video, with Koretaka Kamiike serving as the director of photography. Meanwhile, Hazuki Hasegawa and Toshiki Shiomi serve as the producers. Upon the release of her music, she tweeted out that this music video is dedicated to her musings of being close with her loved ones, even if they are far from each other or since long gone.
Some of anime songs milet had previously performed include “Prover” and “Tell me” which served as the second and third ending theme songs for Fate/Grand Order – Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia, “Drown” as the second ending theme of Vinland Saga Season 1, “The Show” as the ending theme for Birthday Wonderland, and “Flare” as the ending theme for Ranking of Kings. More recently, she collaborated with with MAN WITH A MISSION on theme songs “Kitsuna no Kiseki” and “Koi Kogare” for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Swordsmith Village Arc anime.
The song is now also currently out across all digital platforms, and was arranged and produced by composer Evan Call, who also serves as the fantasy adventure series’ original soundtrack composer. After the party of heroes defeated the Demon King, they restored peace to the land and returned to lives of solitude. Generations pass, and the elven mage Frieren comes face to face with humanity’s mortality. She takes on a new apprentice and promises to fulfill old friends’ dying wishes. Can an elven mind make peace with the nature of life and death? Frieren embarks on her quest to find out.
