Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 Reveals New Key Visual, OP Title

Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 revealed a new key visual and opening theme title during the Anime Expo 2022. The highly-anticipated sequel will premiere this October, with studio BONES returning to animate. Opening song is titled “1” and will be performed by MOB CHOIR.

Takahiro Hasui is directing the third season, while Hiroshi Seko is in charge of series composition. Yoshimichi Kameda is once again doing character designs with Kenji Kawai on music. In addition, studio BONES is animating the sequel.

Kameda posted on Twitter, stating that this is “the last key visual” for the Mob Psycho 100 anime series.

Mob Psycho 100 is based on a manga by ONE, who is also known as the author of One Punch Man. It started serialization in Ura Sunday magazine in 2012. The manga ended in 2017, after 101 chapters (16 volumes). A spin-off series Mob Psycho 100: Reigen was serialized from 2018 to 2019.

The first season of the Mob Psycho 100 anime, by studio BONES, aired in the Summer of 2016. The second season followed in 2019. The franchise also has a side-story titled Mob Psycho 100 II: The First Spirits and Such Company Trip – A Journey that Mends the Heart and Heals the Soul, as well as a Mob Psycho Mini omake and a recap episode titled Mob Psycho 100 Reigen: The Miraculous Unknown Psychic.

Crunchyroll announced plans to stream the third season. The first two are already available on the platform and the plot is described plot as:
Shigeo Kageyama, a.k.a. “Mob,” is a boy who has trouble expressing himself, but who happens to be a powerful esper. Mob is determined to live a normal life and keeps his ESP suppressed, but when his emotions surge to a level of 100%, something terrible happens to him! As he’s surrounded by false espers, evil spirits, and mysterious organizations, what will Mob think? What choices will he make?
