American voice actress Morgan Berry confirmed that she joined the English dub cast of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End as Übel. Fans of Frieren have speculated early on that Morgan Berry is joining the anime’s English dub cast after a clip of Übel’s English dub went viral on X (Twitter).
Prior to the announcement, she quote-retweeted said tweet, indicating that she was the voice of the character.
Morgan Berry is known for her roles in anime titles such as Shyarly in One Piece, Thirteen in My Hero Academia, Tanya/Risa Kusonoki in Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online, Nfirea Bareare in Overlord, Glass in The Rising of the Shield Hero, Yukimi Togakushi in Kakegurui Twin, and Fuki Harukawa in Lycoris Recoil. Her other roles include Leslie in The Promised Neverland, NK Cell in Cells at Work!, Taishi Kawasaki in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, Polka in Dead Mount Death Play, and Yoshiko Tsushima in Love Live! The English dub for Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End premiered on Crunchyroll on October 13, 2023. The main cast includes Mallorie Rodak as Frieren, Jill Harris as Fern, Christopher Guerrero as Eisen, Jason Douglas as Heiter, Clifford Chapin as Himmel, and Jordan Dash Cruz as Stark.
