Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation author Rifujin na Magonote celebrated the 10th anniversary of the series with a cake and a bottle of sake on November 22. The light novel was originally serialized as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website from November 2012 to April 2015. Kadokawa picked up the series and published it as a light novel; the final volume is scheduled to be published on November 25 along with a special book, which shows the path the series has walked so far and compiles short stories including newly drawn illustrations.
The Mushoku Tensei author updated his Twitter page on Tuesday with a photo of a sponge cake with strawberries and a plate with “Congratulations on the 10th Anniversary” on top. Next to the cake is a bottle of sake and a little bit behind them can be seen photos of Mushoku Tensei anime. The post came with a caption as: “Although the series will be concluded in three days, since it marks the 10th anniversary on the 22nd, I’ll have some snacks! (Semikawa-sensei offered me the sake).” Natsuya Semikawa is the author of Isekai Izakaya.
Natsuya Semikawa quote-tweeted it and revealed that the beverage named Daruma Masamune was brewed 10 years ago, which means it is as old as the Mushoku Tensei novel.
Rifujin na Magonote’s Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation has been published under KADOKAWA’s MEDIA FACTORY and Frontier Works’ novel label MF Books. The series released the first compiled volume in January 2014 and the 25th volume in September 2021. The light novel inspired an anime adaptation by StudioBind; the first season was split into two cours with a total of 23 episodes. The first part aired from January to March 2021 and the second part from October to December in the same year. The fourth volume of Blu-ray compiles an unaired episode, which is available on Crunchyroll. The anime adaptation is receiving a second season and the premiere date is set for 2023.
