The music video for “Koi no Yukue” by Akari Akase has officially reached 10 million views. The song was used as the ending theme for CloverWorks’ My Dress-Up Darling anime series, which aired from January to March of 2022. The music video features Akase dressed as the main female character, Marin:
Akase expressed her gratitude on Twitter regarding said milestone. She stated that she is very happy that many people have watched and listened to the song and also asked fans to “enjoy it while looking for places that are linked to the work and the feeling of being of love.“
“Koi no Yukue” is Akari Akase’s debut solo single that came out earlier this year. Prior to this, she also debuted as a television actress in 2021 in the Japanese TV series Mr. Good-looking, where she played Yuki Tanaka. She is best known for her stints as a cosplayer and gravure idol; she appeared in Shueisha’s Weekly Playboy magazine in March 2020. Akase also maintains a YouTube and TikTok account, where she regularly posts videos and hosts live streams regarding her cosplay work.
My Dress-Up Darling anime was directed by Keisuke Shinohara, and written by Yoriko Tomita. The anime was based on the original manga series written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda. It has been serialized on Square Enix’s Young Gangan in January 2018.

Wakana Gojo is a high school boy who wants to become a kashirashi–a master craftsman who makes traditional Japanese Hina dolls. Though he’s gung-ho about the craft, he knows nothing about the latest trends, and has a hard time fitting in with his class.
