A visual novel titled Muv-Luv Alternative is getting an anime adaptation in 2021! Furthermore, the trailer is available on the official website for the series.
Synopsis of the visual novel, according to vndb, is as follows:

Muv-Luv Alternative continues the story of Shirogane Takeru after the events of the original Muv-Luv. This is a tale of a love so deep it breaks all barriers; about courage in the face of adversity and overcoming hardships.
Muv-Luv Alternative is a 3rd game in the Muv-Luv universum. It tells a story of people fighting for Earth’s survival. In order to protect their world they need to clash with creatures known as BETA, aliens that are invading human’s home planet. To do that, they are producing mechas that allow them to fight against the invaders on an even ground.
