My Dress-Up Darling episode 1 previews are finally here. The highly anticipated comedy-romance anime will premiere on Saturday, January 8, at 24:00 JST. The English subtitled versions will also be available later on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Bilibili in select regions.
Alongside the three preview images, the website also revealed a synopsis teaser for the episode. High-school student Wakana Gojo struggles to fit in with his class while Marin Kitagawa is the popular girl always surrounded by people. One afternoon, their worlds meet when they stay at school for cleaning duty…
The website also revealed staff information for My Dress-Up Darling episode 1. Yoriko Tomita is the scriptwriter while Keisuke Shinohara storyboarded and directed the episode. The animation directors are Jun Yamazaki, Shinpei Kobayashi, and Tomomi Kawatsuma.

My Dress-Up Darling is a manga series by Shinichi Fukuda which follows the story of two high school students. Wakana Gojo is a loner boy who dreams to become the greatest Hina doll-artisan while Marin Kitagawa is the cheerful and popular girl in class. After an unexpected turn of events, Marin discovers Wakana’s secret sewing hobby. From that day on, she pulls him into her own secret hobby — cosplay! The anime series adaption is by CloverWorks.
