MyGo Band from BanG Dream Gets an Anime

The band MyGO from the multimedia franchise BanG Dream is getting a TV anime titled BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!! that is set to premiere this summer. The announcement was made on the 4th live concert event of the band in Tachikawa Stage Garden, Tokyo. A teaser visual and video were also released, along with the staff and cast of the anime.

Studio SANZIGEN is animating the series with Koudai Kakimoto as director. Yuniko Ayana is in charge of writing the scripts. The opening theme song of the anime is titled “Hitoshizuku.” The cast of the anime includes the members of the band MyGO:

  • Hina Youmiyas as Tomori Takamatstu (Vocal)
  • Rin Tateishi as Anon Chihaya (Guitar)
  • Hina Aoki as Rana Kaname (Guitar)
  • Mika Kohinata as Soyo Nagasaki (Bass)
  • Koko Hayashi as Taki Shina (Drums)

Additionally, the anime will hold an event to give more details on the production on May 24 and the staff and cast will also be present. A fifth live concert of the band will also be held at KT Zepp Yokohama on August 12. A music video for the band’s original song “Otoichie” was released a few hours after they initially performed the song at their fourth live concert:

BanG Dream! is a multimedia project that started in 2015 created by Bushiroad president Takaaki Kidani. The franchise’s first anime premiered in January 2017 with 13 episodes. A sequel later aired in January 2019 and a third season debuted the following year.

MyGO is a band from the BanG Dream! franchise which was unveiled on April 2022. The BanG Dream! website describes them as a band born from the synchronization of “reality” and “virtual”.
