On the official site for the “Kanojo, Okarishimasu” franchise, a short video for the “Mami Rap” song released. It’s the character song for Nanami Mami, and the performer is the character’s adorable voice actress, Aoi Yuuki. The Mami song will be included in the second volume of the Blu-ray edition, along with a picture book and a CD with the project’s soundtrack.
Listen to the song here (the rap part starts around 0:28):
It will release on November 25 in Japan and cost 9,500 yen (approximately $90). Although a lot fans seem to dislike Mami-chan, Aoi Yuuki is the favorite of many. Here’s the beautiful cover of the volume featuring the ‘controversial’ girlfriend:
The anime premiered in Japan on July 10, and is an adaptation of Miyajima Reiji’s manga of the same name. The franchise is still enjoying big popularity, and it even ranked #1 on Anime Corner’s weekly poll when it was airing (votes by ~7000 people). Furthermore, it beat big shows like Re:Zero and Sword Art Online to do it! Season 2 has already been confirmed too.
In Japan, the lonely have a new way out — online services that rent out dads, children, even girlfriends! When Kazuya’s true love dumps him, he’s just desperate enough to try it, and he’s shocked at how cute and sweet his rental girlfriend turns out to be. But she wants to keep their “relationship” a secret, and there’s a complication… she goes to his university… and their grandmothers are in the same home… and they live next door to each other?! Kazuya finds out she’s not nearly as nice in “real life”…
The Mami rap song is adorable, and I wonder if Mami-chan will redeem herself in the sequel! She can’t be that cute yet also all that bad.. right?
