Netflix to Release The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon's Judgement Globally on June 28th

The first half of The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement is coming to Netflix worldwide on June 28th. The final installment of the popular anime started airing in Japan this January.

The Seven Deadly Sins franchise is currently on its 4th season. However, Netflix lists an OVA series as season 2, making this the 5th season on their website. A-1 Pictures animated the first two seasons, while Studio DEEN took over for seasons 3 and 4.

Season 3, titled The Seven Deadly Sins: Imperial Wrath of the Gods, started airing in the Fall of 2019 and had 24 episodes. Initially, the sequel – Dragon’s Judgement was supposed to air in October of 2020, however, it was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Seven Deadly Sins manga, written by Nakaba Suzuki, ended last year, after 8 years and 346 chapters. Sequel manga, The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse started serialization this January

While you wait for The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement to drop on June 28th, you can catch up with previous seasons on Netflix. Netflix describes the plot as:
When a kingdom is taken over by tyrants, the deposed princess begins a quest to find a disbanded group of evil knights to help take back her realm.

Fans of the franchise may be sad that the anime is ending, but don’t forget that there is also a movie coming this summer. Cursed by Light movie is coming on July 2nd, and features a completely new story written by the mangaka.
