In the broadcast of the final episode of SSSS.Dynazenon, the series shared a teaser card for the “Next Gridman Universe” and the words “Gridman x Dynazenon”. It also has been announced that a new Gridman universe will be revealed in Winter 2022.
The staff behind both SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon include Akira Amemiya as the director at Studio Trigger. Keiichi Hasegawa was in charge of the script while Masaru Sakamoto was the character designer. Shiro Sagisu was the music composer for the series. In addition, Graphinica handled the 3DCG production of both series.
Yuta Hibiki wakes up with amnesia and the ability to see things that others do not. Later on, he sees a huge creature in the distance, but it doesn’t move. Only when Yuta arrives at school do the two sightings make sense: a monster attacks, and the hero Yuta saw on the computer screen drags him within the computer, transforming Yuta into Gridman, a gigantic hero.

Yomogi Asanaka is an average high school student when he meets Gauma, a young guy who claims to be a “Kaiju User.” When a kaiju attacks the city, Gauma summons the huge robot Dynazenon to fight it. Caught up in the war, Yomogi along with Yume Minami, and Koyomi Yamanaka became Gauma’s copilots. They must work together to uncover and put a stop to whatever is causing the kaiju assaults.
