The two upcoming live-action Fullmetal Alchemist movies revealed a new trailer. The two movies are sequels to the 2017 Fullmetal Alchemist live-action movie and will be released on May 20 and June 24, respectively. Fans of the franchise will be able to spot some iconic characters and scenes in the new trailer:
The first one is titled Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Kanketsu-hen – Fukushusha Scar and is focused on Scar, while the second, Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Kanketsu-hen – Saigo no Rensei, serves as the final installment of the trilogy. The live-action Fullmetal Alchemist movies previously revealed a teaser trailer, along with visuals.
Cast from the 2017 movie is returning, with Ryosuke Yamada starring as Edward, Atomu Mizuishi as Alphonse, and Tsubasa Honda as Winry. Mackenyu Arata is joining as Scar, while Seiyo Uchino will portray Ed and Al’s father. Dean Fujioka is starring as Roy Mustang, while Hiroshi Tachi is Bradley. The new trailer also introduces Yuki Yamada as Solf J. Kimblee, Keisuke Watanabe as Ling Yao, and Chiaki Kuriyama as Olivier Mira Armstrong.
Fullmetal Alchemist is based on a manga by Hiromu Arakawa, serialized from 2001 to 2010. The series received two anime adaptations by studio Bones: Fullmetal Alchemist in 2003 (which had an original ending) and a reboot titled Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood in 2009 which fully adapted the manga.
