ONE PIECE released episode 1022 this Sunday, and things are getting more and more serious on every battlefield. With Robin set to engage Maria, we shifted to Hyogoro and his dedication to do what he can before the virus makes him completely lose his mind. Wanting to take out all they key figures on the floor, we see him use his last energy to manifest the strength he was known for in the past. As Chopper has his own test of willpower in finishing the cure, we see Hyogoro do some serious damage.

After asking Zoro for a minute, Luffy gets back into the fight and we shortly see both Kaido and Big Mom preparing to continue, along with Law. However, the most impressive part of the episode has to be Marco’s spotlight in this episode. We saw him save Hyogoro from Queen, after which he took on both of Kaido’s top commanders at the same time. The animation in this fight was amazing, and it’s always nice to see Whitebeard’s top commander in action! Tu Yong-Ce was in charge of the scene, and we’re sure to get more beautiful animation in the future episodes.
The end of the episode saw Chopper finish the cure and use himself as a guinea pig to test it. It seems to have been a success, though the last scene saw Hyogoro about be killed. Someone will probably manage to stop it, but we’ll have to wait to see what happens!
While the ONE PIECE manga is taking a 1-month break and chapter 1054 will release on July 24, episode 1023 will release next Sunday on June 26. Its title is “A Comprehensive Anatomy!
