Studio Doga Kobo (Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie) is animating the series with Daisuke Hiramaki (Selection Project) as director and Saori Tachibana (Wasteful Days of High School Girls) as the assistant director. Jin Tanaka (Laid-Back Camp) is writing the series composition while Kanna Hirayama (Rent-a-Girlfriend) is adapting the character designs from the manga written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrations provided by Mengo Yokari (Scum’s Wish). Queen Bee is performing the ending theme song titled “Mephisto” and the cast of the series includes:

  • Rie Takahashi as Ai Hoshino
  • Takeo Otsuka as Aquamarine Hoshino
  •  Yurie Igoma as Ruby Hoshino
  • Kento Ito as Goro
  •  Tomoyo Takayanagi as Sarina
  • Yumi Uchiyama as Aquamarine (young)
  • Megumi Han as Kana Arima

Bilibili describes the series as:
In the entertainment industry, lying is the weapon. Every day, Goro, an obstetrician and gynecologist who works in a small city, leads a life unrelated to the entertainment business. Yet, the idol Hoshino Ai that he “followed” started to move up the list of stars. Such two realized their worst-case scenario, and from that point on, the wheels of fate started to turn.

The Oshi no Ko anime was voted as the most anticipated show of Spring 2023, and it is available to stream on HiDIVE, Ani-One Asia ULTRA, BIlibili, and Netflix Asia.

I can talk about seiyuus for days. A connoisseur of cute girls doing cute things and fluffy romance stories always make me smile. I mostly watch slice-of-life and rom-coms with drama on the side.
