Oshi no Ko Opening Song MV by YOASOBI Reaches 100 Million Views

The music video of Oshi no Ko‘s opening theme song “Idol” by YOASOBI has reached 100 million views on YouTube. It is also currently placed 5th in YouTube’s top 100 music videos worldwide and the single is #1 in Spotify Japan. Additionally, the music video of “Idol” is now the 4th most popular video of YOASOBI on their YouTube channel and it was released on April 12, shortly after the premiere of the series’ first episode.

Oshi no Ko anime premiered last April 12 with a 90-minute episode. Studio Doga Kobo (Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie) is animating the series with Daisuke Hiramaki (Selection Project) as director and Saori Tachibana (Wasteful Days of High School Girls) as the assistant director. The anime has been on top of our weekly ranking for almost every week, only ranking 2nd once since its premiere.

The series is available to stream on HIDIVE and they described it as:
Dr. Goro is reborn as the son of the young starlet Ai Hoshino after her delusional stalker murders him. Now, he wants to help his new mother rise to the top, but what can a child do about the dark underbelly of the entertainment industry?
