Peach Boy Riverside Episode 2 Preview Images Released

Peach Boy Riverside returns today with episode 2, and the preview images have been released. The last episode ended with Sally channeling her own inner Momotaro and cutting the Oni, and it looks like Mikoto will be coming in the next one. Check them out on the official Twitter account:

There’s a total of 6 images on the Official Website! Episode 2 of Peach Boy Riverside is called “Oni and Human” and will premiere today on July 8, 2021 and, judging from the preview, will show the original Oni-slayer Sally left to chase. If you enjoyed the last episode, you can still vote for it on our Summer 2021 weekly poll (Week 1).

And in case you haven’t checked the anime out yet, the story goes:

“This is a tale that took place long ago. There once lived an old man and an old woman. The old man went into the woods to cut down some grass and the old woman went to the river to… (You know the rest.) The ogres had finally been defeated, but apparently, there were more ogres living elsewhere, so Peach Boy crossed the sea… It was an amazing feat to defeat the ogres and a joyous feat that Peach Boy saved many lives. But the one thing that went wrong… Was that they had fun. This is nothing more than a “What if”… What if there was more than one peach that tumbled down the river?

The story is a spin on the classic Momotaro tale, and it will have 12 episodes. An interesting fact about the anime is that it will be chronologically different from the manga. The director has explained that it’s all planned, and it will all make sense in the end.

The anime is available on Crunchyroll and there’s only 1 episode for now.
