The upcoming Phantom of the Idol anime adaptation revealed a new trailer and a key visual ahead of the July 2022 premiere. The main cast has also been revealed, along with staff information.
The anime adaptation was announced in November of 2021. The main cast includes:
Two versions of the key visual are available: one without Asashi and one with her in the background.
Studio Gokumi is animating the series which is based on Hijiki Isoflavone’s manga (known as Kami Kuzu Idol). Daiki Fukuoka (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero: Hero Chapter) is directing the anime, with Saori Hosoda’s character designs. Yasuko Aoki is doing the series composition, while also writing the screenplay. myu is in charge of the music.
Kodansha licensed the manga in English and the expected release date for the first volume is May 24, 2022. The manga is available for pre-order, along with a synopsis:
