Pluto Anime

Pluto is an anime that’s been in the making for six years now. The series was originally announced back in 2017 during The Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France. In May 2022, Studio M2 founder Masao Maruyama updated fans saying the anime was still in production.

The main cast for Pluto includes Shinshu Fuji as Gesicht, Hikasa Yoko as Atom, and Suzuki Minori as Uran. No further cast information has been revealed at this time.

Pluto Manga

The manga Pluto written and illustrated by Naoki Urasawa and co-authored by Takashi Nagasaki was serialized in Big Comic Original magazine from September 2003 to April 2009. The series spanned over the course of eight volumes and has also been fully published in English by VIZ Media. The multi-award-winning manga series is Urasawa’s 7th serialization and is based on the iconic and critically acclaimed Astro Boy series by Osamu Tezuka.

Pluto by Naoki Urawasa and Osamu Tezuka has over 10 million copies in circulation as of March 2023.

In an ideal world where man and robots coexist, someone or something has destroyed the powerful Swiss robot Mont Blanc. Elsewhere a key figure in a robot rights group is murdered. The two incidents appear to be unrelated…except for one very conspicuous clue – the bodies of both victims have been fashioned into some sort of bizarre collage complete with makeshift horns placed by the victims’ heads. Interpol assigns robot detective Gesicht to this most strange and complex case – and he eventually discovers that he too, as one of the seven great robots of the world, is one of the targets.
