Pokémon: Hisuian Snow Anime Set for May 18 Premiere

The previously announced Pokémon Legends: Arceus anime is titled Pokémon: Hisuian Snow and is set to premiere on May 18 on the official Pokémon YouTube channel and Pokémon TV. The anime, animated by WIT Studio, will have three parts and is classed as a limited (web) animated series.

The initial announcement described the anime as an all-new original story, set in the Hisuian region. A visual has been revealed:

The announcement describes the plot as:
Pokémon: Hisuian Snow tells the story of a boy named Alec and his encounter with a Hisuian Zorua. When he was younger, Alec’s father taught him that people and Pokémon cannot live together. But Alec’s interactions with the Zorua might offer a different lesson.

The cast includes:

  • Koki Uchiyama/Rie Kugimiya as Alec
  • Rikiya Koyama as Alec’s father

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a role-playing action game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. The game was developed for the Nintendo Switch console and released worldwide on 28 January 2022. The storyline has the player compiling the “first-ever Pokédex”.
