The upcoming pole dancing-themed anime Pole Princess (stylized as Pole Princess!!) released a 6-minute prologue episode on Friday. The main characters Hinano Hoshikita (voiced by Rio Tsuchiya), Lilia Saijou (voiced by Anna Suzuki), and Azumi Shinou (voiced by Rie Kugimiya) appeared in the video.
The original anime was announced last November along with the main cast and staff. Studio Tatsunoko Production will be animating the anime while Avex Pictures is producing the music. Hitomi Ezoe is directing the series with Touko Machida writing the scripts. Illustrator tomari is designing the characters while Yoshihiro Otobe is acting as CG director and Kenta Higashiohji is composing the music. The cast of Pole Princess!! includes:
Pole Princess!! original anime is a coming-of-age story that revolves around the ordinary 17-year-old girl Hinano. Ever since she was young, she loved the planetarium run by her grandmother but when she found out that it was closing down, she wondered if there was anything she could do for her grandmother and for the planetarium. One day, she coincidentally catches sight of a woman dancing on a pole under a starry sky. Inspired by what she witnessed, she then gathers her childhood friends, and together they jump into the world of pole dancing.
