Ranking of Kings: Treasure Chest of Courage has revealed the episode 2 preview video and staff ahead of its April 20 premiere. The anime is a side story TV anime and is being broadcast on Fuji TV’s Noitamina’s block and streamed by Crunchyroll outside Japan. Watch the episode 2 preview:
The episode will once again have 2 parts. Part 1 is titled “Beasts of the Wilderness” and will have Yoshitane Hosogawa as the episode director and Hideyuki Arao as the animation director. The story is described:
Bojji and Kage are on their way to the Bosse Kingdom with the Knights of the Underworld. While preparing to camp, they hear a rumor that “wild beasts appear in this area at night and eat people…”
Part 2 is titled “The Mysterious Desert” and will have Tomoko Hiramuki as the episode director and Tomoyuki Kitamura, Yuuko Yamamoto, Aya Nishimura, and SNIPES as animation directors. The story is described:
On their way to the Bosse Kingdom, the group is hit by a huge sandstorm. When the sandstorm subsides, an oasis suddenly appears. They stop by for a rest, and creatures they had never seen before appear…
The rest of the staff for episode 2 of Ranking of Kings: Treasure Chest of Courage includes Fuuka Ishii on screenplay, Atsushi Takahashi on the storyboard, Osamu Murata as the chief animation director and itomi Ezoe as the assistant episode director.

How prosperous your nation is, how many powerful warriors it boasts, and how heroic and strong its king is. These are the criteria that factor into the system known as the Ranking of Kings. The main character, Bojji, was born the first prince of the kingdom ruled by King Bossu, who is ranked number seven. But Bojji was born unable to hear and is so powerless that he can’t even swing a sword. In consequence, his own retainers and the public, look down upon him as completely unfit to be king. It is then that Bojji finds his first friend, Kage, and Bojji’s life takes a dramatic turn…
