According to the author of the Redo of Healer light novel, Tsukiyo Rui, female viewership of the anime adaptation is higher than the average when it comes to anime in general. Streaming websites’ membership data allowed to make the calculations possible. Unfortunately, Tsukiyo Rui doesn’t mention any of the streaming services that the data comes from. The fact is extremely interesting, considering what happens to female characters in said show.
Also, you can see Tsukiyo Rui’s tweet below:
As of the writing of the article, there are 9 volumes of Redo of Healer light novel available in Japan. What’s more, there’s also a manga adaptation that currently has 8 volumes.
In case you don’t know what the show is about, you can also read the synopsis below as well:
In a dark world of monsters, adventurers, and mages, some of the most gifted healers are subjugated to brute force even by the hands of their compatriots. But one mage, Kayal, gains the ability to rewind time, turn the tables, and right all wrongs.
The last episode of Redo of Healer anime will air on March 31, 2021. Redo of Healer is quite controversial so one can only wonder why the female viewership is higher than the average. It was canceled in Germany and overseas companies refused to publish the book in English. Even though, the show is so popular that manga had to be reprinted.
