Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Animated Movie Gets Trailer

The upcoming Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie animated movie has received a trailer ahead of its August 5 Netflix premiere. The film is based on the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated TV series, and will be produced by Nickelodeon Movies and Nickelodeon Animation Studio. Watch the new trailer:

The movie is directed by Andy Suriano and Ant Ward, who previously also developed the animated series and worked on designing the characters. The cast for the movie includes:

  • Ben Schwartz as Leonardo/Leo
  • Omar Benson Miller as Raphael/Raph
  • Brandon Mychal Smith as Michelangelo/Mikey
  • Josh Brener as Donatello/Donnie
  • Kat Graham as April O’Neil
  • Eric Bauza as Splinter
  • Haley Joel Osment as Casey Jones

The story is set 2 years after the finale of the TV series, and it features Casey Jones coming back from the future to warn the nija turtles about an invasion from the Krang.
