A new trailer and key visual for the SHY anime series were revealed on Thursday. The trailer features the opening theme song “Shiny Girl” performed by MindaRyn and it also revealed more staff and cast members. SHY will begin airing in October 2023 with studio 8bit handling the animation. Check out the new trailer for SHY below:
Shino Shimoji will be voicing the main role of Teru Momijiyama (aka SHY). New cast members that were announced include the following:
Masaomi Andou (Astra: Lost in Space) will be directing SHY. He’ll be joined by Kousaku Taniguchi who will work as the assistant director. Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) will be in charge of the script. Yuuichi Tanaka (A Certain Scientific Railgun) is in charge of the main character designs and Hinako Tsubakiyama (Sabikui Bisco) will be composing the music. The rest of the staff is as follows:

Earth was on the brink of a third World War when super-powered individuals came forth from each country around the globe, ending the conflict and ushering in a new era of relative peace. Among those heroes, Japan is represented by a timid young girl known as “Shy.” She may spend more time worrying about her own shortcomings than she does battling villains, but she’ll show the world that despite it all she still has the heart of a hero!
This is the first preview trailer for the SHY anime series which will begin airing in October 2023.
