Spy Classroom's Lily and Sybilla Featured on the Monthly Comic Alive Magazine Cover

KADOKAWA’s Monthly Comic Alive featured Lily and Sybilla from the upcoming Spy Classroom anime on the cover in the newest issue (February 2023), which was released on Tuesday. This also marks the magazine’s 200th issue. Studio feel. is animating the adaptation and the premiere date is slated for January 5, 2023. The magazine had KonoSuba’s Aqua and Megumin in Santa costumes on the cover in the previous issue.

In the cover visual, Lily (left) points her gun at us, while Sybilla (right) is doing a sort of fist bump. Sora Amamiya, the voice actress of Aqua in KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World, is voicing Lily, while Nao Toyama who played Chitoge Kirisaki in Nisekoi is voicing Sybilla.

To celebrate the 200th issue, the magazine’s special pack is available with an acrylic diorama of Atto’s Non Non Biyori manga on KADOKAWA STORE.

Along with the announcement, the magazine released a congratulatory illustration for the milestone by Minari Endo, the manga author of Maria Holic, which was serialized in the magazine. The official Twitter account of the magazine will post more messages by various artists in the future.

Spy Classroom anime is based on a light novel series of the same name written by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari. The novel is currently being published under Kadokawa’s label Fujimi Fantasia Bunko. Yen Press licensed the light novel for English releases and describes the plot as:
Following a devastating military conflict, countries fight their wars in the shadows. One unusual spy, Klaus, has never failed on the job despite his quirks, and he is building a team to take on an Impossible Mission—one with over a 90 percent chance of failure. However, his chosen members are all washouts with no practical experience. They’ll have to use every trick in the book (and some that aren’t) to prove they’re up to the task!
