The official Spy x Family anime Twitter account reached another milestone – 1 million followers. The achievement was celebrated with a special illustration of Anya, one of the protagonists of the story. The illustration was drawn by Kazuaki Shimada, who is in charge of the character designs for the anime. The anime is returning with a second cour in October of this year.
The official Twitter account celebrated a similar milestone earlier this year, with an illustration by WIT Studio’s Kyoji Asano. The Spy x Family hashtags also have their own Twitter emoji, the so-called hashflag, which also features Anya.
WIT Studio and CloverWorks are animating the adaptation of Tatsuya Endo’s manga. The anime will have a total of 25 episodes, meaning 13 are left for the second cour. Crunchyroll has been streaming the anime. The synopsis is described as:
World peace is at stake and secret agent Twilight must undergo his most difficult mission yet—pretend to be a family man. Posing as a loving husband and father, he’ll infiltrate an elite school to get close to a high-profile politician. He has the perfect cover, except his wife’s a deadly assassin, and neither knows each other’s identity. But someone does, his adopted daughter who’s a telepath!
