Summer Time Rendering Reveals Additional Cast, New Visual

Summer Time Rendering anime revealed the exact official release date – April 14, 2022, along with a new visual and additional cast information. Disney+ will be streaming the anime worldwide.

Studio OLM is animating the series, with Ayumu Watanabe as the director. Miki Matsumoto is in charge of character designs and Hiroshi Seki is doing series composition. MONACA’s Hoashi Keigo, Okabe Keichii, and Takada Ryuuichi are composing the music. The anime will have 2 cours, with 25 episodes.

Summer Time Rendering – New Visual

The anime previously revealed the main cast, which includes Natsuki Hanae as Shinpei, Sahi Shirasu as Mio, and Anna Nagase as Ushio. The new cast additions are:

  • Yoko Hikasa as Hizuru Minakata
  • Jin Urayama as Ginjiro Nezu
  • Maki Kawase as Tokiko Hishigata
  • Kensho Ono as Sou Hishigata

Summer Time Rendering is based on sci-fi, suspense-mystery manga by Yasuki Tanaka. Shounen Jump+ online magazine serialized it from 2017 to 2021. It ended after 139 chapters and is now available in 13 volumes.

Upon hearing of Ushio’s death, Shinpei returns to his hometown of Wakayama City on Hitogashima and reunites with his childhood friend’s family. The funeral goes smoothly, but under the surface, something strange is brewing on the island. What mysteries await him on this secluded summer island?
