Episode 5 of the rom-com series Teasing Master Takagi-san Season 3 premiered earlier this week and it is, without a doubt, the most adorable episode in the series so far. We also got to see a bonus clip of a special character at the start of the episode!
The voice actors are commendable in this episode, especially Yuki Kaji. He did a great job voicing Nishikita during the audition for the role of the prince for their upcoming school festival. With princess Takagi right in front of him, Nishikita felt so flustered and I’d say that Yuki Kaji did a very good job on that part.
Another commendable point for this episode was the interpretation of their role play. Since the school festival is coming, the class decided to do a role play with the story written by Yukari. As she narrates the story to the class, there was a slideshow of colorful illustrations which really helped shape the episode.
We also get to see the characters as they start to show their true characteristics. A good example is when Sanae bought a piece of bread for Mina in exchange for all of her gyoza. Another example is during Nishikata’s audition for the role of a prince where Yukari feels so excited seeing Nishikita and Takagi acting so adorable.
But the best example of character development in this episode was when Nishikita is starting to realize his true feelings. After that fishing scene, Nishikita’s heart couldn’t stop pounding and Takagi somehow noticed it and said the word koi which means “romantic love”. Nishikita was so stunned after hearing that word but what Takagi really meant to say was koi as in the species of a fish.
Now for the last part, let’s talk about the special guest for this episode. The girl who looked like Takagi at the start of the episode was Chi, the daughter of Takagi and Nishikita. She is the main character of the spin-off manga series Karakai Jouzu no (Moto) Takagi-san depicting the story of Takagi and Nishikita after they got married. Chi’s personality is like that of her father, but her appearance resembles that of her mother.
