Mobile game Tales of Luminaria has announced that it will shut down its game services on July 19 of this year. This news comes less than a year after the game was launched worldwide on November 4, 2021.
In a statement posted on their website, the game developers have stated that up until the closure date, game servers will still be open and players are encouraged to use all of their items or PB-Stones in their account prior to the closure.
As the first completely original mobile title in the “Tales of” series, our sincere intent was to make this game fun and, by taking on various challenges, to bring “Tales of” to a wider audience around the world, not only Japan. Additionally, we have tried our best to make this service playable over a long time, encouraged by the supportive comments and feedback we have received on social media.

In regards to the anime series that is being produced parallel to the game, the developers also stated that the weekly episode distribution will immediately end, in line with this announcement. In a bid to at least bring closure to the story, a special episode will be released called “Episode Final”, although no date has been given.
An archive of the game’s designs, illustrations, and other assets might become available so that players are still able to experience the game’s storyline despite the service officially shut down by that time.
We would like to sincerely thank you for all of your support of Tales of Luminaria. We apologize again for not living up to your expectations and having to announce that the service will be shut down. Although there is only a short period of time remaining, we hope that you will enjoy this game to the end.
