Tawawa on Monday (Getsuyoubi no Tawawa) anime is based on a doujinshi (self-published manga) by Kiseki Himura. An official manga started serialization in Young Magazine in 2020.

The story follows a salaryman who meets a teenage girl on the train during his commute. As they begin to meet on the train every Monday, he learns that her name is Ai. Soon they form a bond and he begins acting as her bodyguard during the commute.

Sayaka Harada voices Ai, while Junji Majima is the salaryman.

The first season of the anime aired in 2016 and had 12 5-minute episodes. Studio Pine Jam (Gleipnir) animated it, while Kousuke Muruyama directed the series.

Season 2 of Tawawa on Monday is available to watch on Crunchyroll, Muse Asia, and VRV.
