Tensura Scarlet Bond Movie Arrives to Theaters Worldwide in Early 2023

Crunchyroll has announced that they have acquired the global distribution and marketing rights (excluding Asia) for the Tensura movie That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond, and that it will arrive to theaters worldwide in early 2023. The movie will premiere in Japan in November this year, and it will feature an original story and character by the series creator Fuze. You can watch the newly released English-subbed trailer:

Tensura is an anime adaption of the light novel by Fuse. The anime adaptation by 8bit has 48 episodes split across 2 TV seasons. Season 2 was voted as the 6th best 2021 anime of the year by our fans with votes from over 100,000+ people. It also has a spin-off anime titled The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, which adapted one of the manga spin-off series. Yen Press publishes the original light novel in English, and they describe the story:
Lonely thirty-seven-year-old Satoru Mikami is stuck in a dead-end job, unhappy with his mundane life, but after dying at the hands of a robber, he awakens to a fresh start in a fantasy realm…as a slime monster! As he acclimates to his goopy new existence, his exploits with the other monsters set off a chain of events that will change his new world forever!

Besides the worldwide distribution, more details for the Tensura movie That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond are expected in the following months.
